Eligibility

To obtain a visitor visa, you need to meet certain essential requirements, including:

  1. Possessing a valid travel document, such as a passport.

  3. Having no criminal or immigration-related convictions.
  4. Persuading an immigration officer that you have ties, such as a job, home, financial assets, or family connections, which indicate your intention to return to your home country.
  5. Convincing an immigration officer that you will depart Australia at the conclusion of your visit.
  6. Having sufficient funds to cover your stay. 
  7. The required amount depends on the duration of your visit and whether you will be staying in a hotel, with friends, or with relatives.






Documents

To complete your application, you are required to provide the following information and documents:

  1. Scanned copies of every page of your current/previous passport containing visas or stamps.
  2. Family Registration Certificate or Form B.
  3. Marriage Registration Certificate if applicable.
  4. One recent passport size photo (taken in the last six months).
  5. Evidence of sufficient funds for your personal support during your stay in Australia, including:
    • A bank account maintenance letter.
    • Bank statements for the last three months.
  6. Details of travel arrangements/accommodation and a planned travel itinerary.
  7. Land ownership documentation.
  8. Property ownership documentation.
  9. Evidence of shares/investments.
  10. An acceptable certificate for polio vaccination
  11. An authorized certificate confirming COVID-19 vaccination eligibility




Other Requirements

In the event that your trip is financially supported by a relative or friend in Australia

If your visit is sponsored by a relative or friend in Australia, you'll need a letter from them confirming their financial support. This letter should include their full name, date of birth, their relationship to you, and the duration of your stay they intend to support. Additionally, evidence of their financial capacity should be provided, including bank statements and salary/pay slips for the past three months.

In the case where your visit is financially supported by a relative or friend outside Australia

If your visit is sponsored by a relative or friend outside Australia, the required documentation includes:

  1. A letter from your friend or relative expressing their intention to financially support your visit to Australia. The letter should encompass their full name, date of birth, their relationship to you, and the specific period they plan to assist you during your stay.
  2. Proof of your friend or relative's financial capability to support you in Australia, which should comprise:a. Bank statements covering the last three months.b. Salary slips or pay slips for the preceding three months.c. If employed, a copy of their contract or a letter from their employer detailing their position, income, and the duration of their contract or employment.d. If self-employed, documentation about their business, including the name and address of the business, information about its nature, business registration license, and relevant bank statements related to the business.

If you are currently employed

For employed individuals, the required documentation includes:

  1. Salary slips or pay slips for the past three months.
  2. A copy of your employment contract or a letter from your employer. This document should specify your position, details of your income, and the length of your contract or employment.
  3. A letter from your employer confirming that your leave (with a specified period) has been approved and providing assurance that you will resume your employment following your leave or business visit.

If you are engaged in self-employment

The required documentation includes:

  1. Evidence detailing company/business particulars, which should include:
    • Name and address of the business.
    • Information regarding the nature of the business.
    • Business registration license.
    • Bank statements related to the business.
  2. A certified copy of your National Tax Number (NTN) Registration Certificate issued by the Federal Board of Revenue.

If you are a student

You need to provide proof of your enrollment at your school, college, or university. This evidence is a crucial part of the documentation required for your visit to Australia.

For applicants under the age of 18 years who are traveling without one or both of their parents

The required documentation includes:

  1. A statutory declaration from the non-traveling parent(s) must be provided, or alternatively, Form 1229 Consent form to grant an Australian visa to a child under the age of 18 years from the non-traveling parent(s) or guardian must be provided.
  2. Certified evidence demonstrating the parent/child relationship, such as a birth certificate.
  3. Certified copies of parents'/guardian's national identity cards or passports.
